Baked pie or baked cookies

Baking and cooking are staples in my house. I'm always whipping up something to eat. I love to cook, so that just means I love to bake too. But when it comes to the question of what do I bake, the answer is everything. But between pies and cookies, I usually bake cookies. I have been meaning to make a cherry pie for quite some time. However, when it comes to Halloween baking, my heart will forever be tied to cupcakes. I usually have some kind of cupcakes in the oven throughout the end of year holiday seasons. But Halloween is when I can let my creative side show through. Like these.




I may also be baking this year too. I wonder what I'll make.


Movie Night Title

Young Frankenstein



    I have a soft spot for old school movies. This being one of them. I am a huge Mel Brooks fan, as well as Gene Wilder. It's movies and actors like these that also spurred on my love of Monty Python. It may also be the reason behind my Monty Python tombstone this year. That will be coming up later in the month. But for me, this is a comfort movie for me. I prefer old school comedy so much more and this has every element that I enjoy so it's perfect for this theme.

    This is getting good now, huh? I bet you are just waiting to see what happens tomorrow. Or maybe you're just waiting around for that Monty Python picture. Well, whatever the reason, you know where to find me.

  It's coming, it's coming!!! Q&A Nightmare Before Christmas or Hocus Pocus     While I do enjoy Hocus Pocus, I will usually choose Nightmare Before Christmas just because it doesn't really age.   We are under a week Almost there Q&A Carve Pumpkins or Make Pumpkin Pie     This is actually an easy question for me. I am not a big fan of pumpkin flavor so when I bake, it's usually cookies and cupcakes. However, I love carving pumpkins every year. The number that I will carve will depend on how I feel that particular year and how much other things I have to do. I try to carve as close to Halloween as I can, just to preserve the freshness of the pumpkins. I don't want them to wilt too much before the big night. This year I am carving two pumpkins. Mainly because I have been doing so much other work and building props.   The end is nigh Q&A Favorite Costume as a Kid     I had two favorite costumes as a kid and I usually rotated them. I was Wonder Woman for a few years straight. This one has never changed, I was Wonder Woman again a couple years ago. My other pick was She-Ra. This was one of my all time favorites. Those two were in constant rotation as a kid. Now, as an adult, I try to rotate costumes each year being something new. I was Connor from Assassins Creed one year. Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, about three years ago. Yea... I'm sure you can see a theme emerging here.  Movie Night Title Shaun of the Dead      I adore British movies and you can not go wrong with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost working together. So of course this is going to end up on my list of favorites as well as a Halloween tradition. Zombie flicks are very hit or miss with me.
