Day 16

Keep on a truckin! Q&A Blood Or Guts     I'm not the queasy kind of chick so usually none of it bothers me. After all I have seen my fair share of both having been a vet tech. But after almost dying and having my own guts rearranged, it kind of brought out a bit of a phobia for me. I can't handle the thoughts of disemboweling. I will play up the gore but this year is more about the blood than the guts.  Movie Night Title House      This is a huge favorite for me as it was one I grew up with. Even though it plays on my fear of mirrors at one point. That scene freaked me out so much as a kid that I've never been able to get over that fear. The only mirror I have in my house is in the bathroom, that's how much I hate them. But I still love the movie to death, it's a classic. Day 4

Day 4 is upon us!  Let's kickstart today and get ready to think about food. Q&A Baked pie or baked cookies Baking and cooking are staples in my house. I'm always whipping up something to eat. I may also be baking this year too. I wonder what I'll make. Movie Night Title Young Frankenstein     I have a soft spot for old school movies. This being one of them. I am a huge Mel Brooks fan, as well as Gene Wilder. It's movies and actors like these that also spurred on my ...

The First Big Draw

L et's take a little stroll down memory lane, shall we? 2014     The debut year of what was, at the time, just a regular house  decorating for Halloween. I knew I wanted something different from every other house. Just one stand out piece. And then my brain was graced with the idea to Amityville my picture window. I mixed up a batch of fake blood and then took to making a line across the top of my window. Since this was outside, I wanted something natural. I didn't want anything potentially toxic to affect the insect population. I am also a photographer, so I like the little neighborhood insects that frequent my flower patches. My mixture is powdered sugar with food coloring, thinned with water. Basic and all natural. Once it dries, it thickens and congeals, so aside from drawing a few more bees to my corner it will withstand the weather and still be easily cleaned after Halloween. Unfortunately, I didn't really take photos the first year....
